Marina Rebeka Joins ‘Il Trovatore’ at Wiener Staatsoper on Feb 11

The Wiener Staatsoper has announced a change in the cast for its February 11 performance of “Il Trovatore.” Marina Rebeka will now take on the role of Leonora, replacing Maria Agresta.
Rebeka has previously performed as Leonora at the Royal Opera House and the Zurich Opera House. She is renowned for her roles in operas by Verdi, Puccini, Bellini, and Donizetti, and has graced stages worldwide, including Teatro alla Scala, the Metropolitan Opera, Wiener Staatsoper, Royal Opera House, and Paris Opera.
She will join a cast featuring Artur Rucinski, Clémentine Margaine, and Vittorio Grigolo, with Pier Giorgio Morandi conducting the production directed by Daniele Abbado.
